The Agronomy Scholars Program
The Agronomy Scholars program integrates the Precision Agriculture curriculum at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) with a progressive internship experience at All Points Cooperative or Frenchman Valley Cooperative. Scholars that achieve academic success at NCTA and provide solid job performance at All Points or Frenchman Valley will receive full tuition scholarships for their NCTA degree (up to $2100 per semester for 4 semesters). Students enrolling into the Agronomy Scholars Program will have the option to enroll with the cooperative of their choice.
Scholarship Requirements
All Points and Frenchman Valley will reimburse tuition and fees up to $2,100 per semester provided the student maintains a 2.5 GPA at NCTA and fulfills the internship obligations. Reimbursements will occur after each semester for the scholar's freshman year. Scholars will be reimbursed for their sophomore year at NCTA after completing the internship obligations.
Internship at Cooperatives
Scholars will receive 2 paid internships with All Points Cooperative or Frenchman Valley Cooperative. The first internship will occur during the summer between the student's first and second year at NCTA. The second internship will be for a one year period after the student completes their second year at NCTA.
Students with a strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime will have the opportunity to earn very competitive salaries during the two internships. All employment with All Points and Frenchman Valley is on an "at will" basis, and the students are subject to the employment policies of the cooperatives.
At the conclusion of the second internship, students will have the opportunity to interview for a permanent position with the cooperatives.
