NCTA ANNOUNCES FIRST GROUP OF ALL POINTS AG SCHOLARS

 

Curtis, NE, May 9, 2007: - NCTA recently announced its first group of students accepted into the NCTA/All Points Ag Scholars Program.

Students beginning in the program starting the fall of 2007 are:

  • Ross Montgomery, Guide Rock, NE
  • Michael Beyer, Sidney, NE
  • Justin Meyer, Glenvil, NE
  • Josiah Stroup, Benkelman, NE
  • John (J.C.) Forgey, Douglas, WY
  • Derek Uhrmacher, Juniata, NE
  • Brock Sharon, Burlington, CO
  • Skeeter Hiser, Douglas, WY
  • Justin North, Douglas, WY

Students accepted will complete a three-year program through NCTA, which also includes a paid internship with All Points Cooperative.  The goal of the All Points Ag Scholars program is to ensure the continuation of high quality employees who are dedicated to the future of Nebraska agriculture.

All Points Cooperative is a Nebraska-based cooperative dedicated to providing high quality service to Nebraska agricultural producers through 12 bulk plants and retail stores.  Their mission is to provide quality products, services, and information as a cooperative that enhance their customers' ability to be profitable in their chosen profession.

The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, in cooperation with its sister institution, the West Central Research and Extension Center, have a long tradition of serving the Nebraska agriculture industry.  NCTA is dedicated to providing its students with a dynamic education in agriculture and an understanding of important economic factors that are important to rural Nebraska's future.
