Attend The Annual Cattle Fitting and Show Camp

Curtis, NE, May 8, 2007: - 4-H and FFA beef projects take more than time; they take skills. NCTA aims to help refine these skills at their Cattle Fitting and Showing Camp, scheduled to run from June 25 through June 27, 2007.

Seth Hasenauer, Livestock Judging Team Coach at NCTA, speaks of the goals this camp hopes to help participants achieve.  "We want to give students a well-rounded and informative learning experience with regards to their youth beef cattle projects," states Hasenauer.  "The beauty of this camp is that it should benefit beginners as well as the experienced showman."

Participants in the camp will learn about clipping, fitting, showmanship, daily care, nutrition, and more.  In addition, students will gain a competitive edge while emphasizing sportsmanship and the importance of adhering to high ethical standards of competition.  Hasenauer advises early registration for this year's camp.  "We are limiting the camp to 10 students, so we strongly encourage students to register early."  Due to the small group size, Hasenauer and other adults will be able to interact with students both individually and in small groups.

Registration for this camp is due by June 15, 2007.  Bringing your own calf is not required.
