February Aggie of the Month

NCTA February Aggie of the Month-Kevin Turek

Kevin Turek from Ravenna, Nebraska was named the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture February Aggie of the Month.  Kevin is majoring in Veterinary Technology.

“Kevin is well organized and plans ahead for his surgery patients.  This is safer for the patient and saves both the student and instructors time,” said one faculty member.

“Kevin is always thorough and accurate.  He manages his time well, he balances and prioritizes a sometimes busy schedule.  He is always considerate of and looking out for his teammates as well as himself,” stated another faculty member.

Kevin displays his skills by the various activities he is involved in including:  President of The Student Technician Veterinarian Medical Association, and President of the NCTA Equestrian Team.  Kevin received one of three Sportsmanship Awards in the Zone 7 Region 1 2006-2007 IHSA Show Season.

Kevin plans to start his internship at Hill N Dale in Kentucky in May of 2007 and will graduate in August of 2007.  Kevin is planning on attending NCTA in the fall of 2007 to finish up his minor in Agriculture Production Systems Equine Management.
