Earn Hands-On Livestock Judging Experience

Curtis, NE, May 8, 2007: - Communication skills.  Self-confidence.  Problem-solving tactics. Mental concentration.  Participants will learn this and more by attending NCTA's Livestock Judging Summer Camp, scheduled to run from June 11 through June 13, 2007.

Seth Hasenauer, Livestock Judging Team Coach at NCTA, speaks highly of the opportunity this camp presents.  "Livestock judging is a banner opportunity for students to place themselves at the top...at the top of academics, at the top of their career, and at the top of their personal lives," states Hasenauer.  "Judging is a mental sport that complements many other educational experiences."

Participants in the camp will learn methods of selection and evaluation of beef, sheep, and swine.  Hasenauer advises early registration for this year's camp.  "We are limiting the camp to 35 students, so we strongly encourage students to register early."  Due to the small group size, Hasenauer and other adults will be able to interact with students both individually and in small groups.

Registration for the camp is due by May 25, 2007.  For more information about the Livestock Judging Summer Camp or to register, please contact Seth Hasenauer, NCTA Livestock Judging Team Coach, at shasenauer2@unl.edu or NCTA at 1-800-3CURTIS.
