Julia DeWilde Named "Aggie of the Year"
CURTIS, NE, MAY 15, 2008: - Julia DeWilde of Omaha was named Aggie of the Year at the Nebraska College of Technical agriculture (NCTA) Awards Program on May 7, 2008.
During her tenure at NCTA, Miss DeWilde majored in Veterinary Technology. She was also a two year member of the Aggie Volleyball team and served as a NCTA Student Ambassador. DeWilde was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honorary and was the recipient of a Rawson memorial scholarship.
DeWilde's future plans include an 8-week internship in Texas this summer. She plans to continue her studies in Wildlife Disease Management at UNL this fall.
The NCTA Aggie of the Month Award is awarded on nominations by faculty and staff based on students' academic achievements, extra-curricular involvement, and overall excellence. Students who are awarded the Aggie of the Month Award are voted on at the end of the year for the Aggie of the Year Award.
