NCTA To Host Shaggy Horse Show
CURTIS, NE, APRIL 8, 2008: Forget
about bad hair days! The Nebraska
College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) Horse Show Team invites all to
participate in the 7th Annual Shaggy Horse Show on Saturday, April
19, 2008, at the NCTA Campus in Curtis,
NE.
According to Judy Bowmaster, Team Advisor, this show is a fun opportunity to get individuals started for show season, in addition to helping Horse Show Team members develop the skills necessary for putting on shows. Bowmaster also adds that the reasonable entry fee makes it affordable enough to ride all day long. The money raised from this year's event will help defray travel expenses for the Horse Show Team to future events.
This year's show will begin at 8:00 a.m., with the entry table open at 7:00 a.m. Entrants will be charged $4.00 per class or $30.00 to ride all day. Ribbons will be awarded for the first six places, with a prize going to the first place finisher in each class. Riding classes featured include:
- Halter/Showmanship
- Lowel Level Jumping
- English Equitation
- Western Pleasure/Horsemanship
- Reining/Trail
- Barrels/Poles
