Job Description/Duties:
Family farming and cattle operationo seeking assistant in the daily operations of growing mostly irriated corn and beans as well as raising livestock from birth to finished beef. Duties would include assisting with daily livestock chores, cattle handling/hauling, operating some newer equipment in the fields, operating irrigation power unites and center pivots. Driving semi tractor trailer rigs for short hauls. Some light duty maintainence on equipment. Regular work schedule will be full time week, and most Saturday mornings. During peak worktimes of planting and harvest, evenings during week, full day on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons are required also. We appreciate/reward a strong work ethic.
Qualifications or Skills Required:
Must have some prior experience in some of the duties listed above to qualify. Must be able to climb short distances, such as grain bins, overhead load outs, and other common equipment used on the farm. Some computer knowledge required to operate newer modern equipment monirs and center pivots. References will be required as well as a clean driving record. CDL will be required, or need t0 be obtained promptly. Nebraska Private Pesticide Applicator license will be required also.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary and benefits will be based on experience and skill level. These will have to be discussed in detail upon an interview process. Housing is avaiable on acreage near farming operation. Vehicle provided for farm use.
