Summer break is our time for planning the next academic year here at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

Every year we carefully assess the quality of our educational programs by evaluating student accomplishments, academic reviews, and the input from accrediting agencies such as the Higher Learning Commission.

Every Person Counts at NCTA

April 4, 2016
Dean’s Column by Ron Rosati, PhD

The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture recently experienced a complete “checkup” – or a review from top to bottom to verify that the institution is offering quality programs.

This process originates with U. S. Department of Education and is implemented by a regional accrediting agency called the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The HLC sends a team of trained experts to NCTA once every seven years to evaluate procedures and academic programs.  We’ve been preparing for this visit for approximately two years.

NCTA Welcomes Ag Visitors

March 8, 2016
Dean's Column by Ron Rosati, PhD

The welcome mat is always out at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture here in Curtis!

And, since we are an agricultural college, it’s common for our students to also clean the soles of their cowboy boots on the boot scrapers at the building entrances before crossing that mat!

NCTA: A Winning Attitude

Accolades just keep rolling in for students and staff at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, and I couldn’t be more proud of their collective dedication.  We measure the quality of our students and their academic programs a number of ways but one of those measurements is how well our students do in academic competitions when they go head-to-head against students from other colleges. NCTA students frequently lead the pack in these activities.

NCTA emphasizes college affordability

This is a time of year high school students make decisions about college enrollment for next fall. Most schools, including the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, start reviewing scholarship and financial aid request in early March.

A college degree is more important now than it ever has been for ensuring lifetime financial success.

However, students and parents struggle with determining how to finance a college education. I would like to offer a few recommendations to consider when parents are evaluating how to pay for college.
