WHY EQUINE DENTISTRY?

Proper dental maintenance is essential to allow peak performance and harmony between the horse and rider. NCTA's newest offering, the Equine Dentistry Short Course, allows you to gain critical skills, making you more valuable and effective with your clients.

Through NCTA's Equine Dentistry Short Course, students will:

  • Earn 8 College Credit Hours
  • Receive more than 160 hours of classroom and lab instruction
  • Learn complete equilibration with hand and power equipment
  • Learn the best techniques for working on sedated or non-sedated animals
  • Learn incisor corrections
  • Try the latest and greatest equipment before you buy it
  • Discover how to increase non-vet transaction fees at your clinic
  • Be prepared to take the IAED Certification Examinations

ACCOMMODATIONS

Program price includes housing in the dorms, and weekday meals. Students are on their own for weekend meals.

Dr. Cory S. Reng is a graduate of Washington State University and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1996. A practicing veterinarian for 12 years, she joined the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in 2006. She is a graduate of the American School of Equine Dentistry and is a member of the International Association of Equine Dentistry.
