Joe Calvo signs with NCTA livestock team

Joe Calvo of Bassett, Nebraska, recently signed a letter of intent with the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis to join the NCTA livestock judging team and major in livestock industry management.

NCTA Livestock Judging Team Coach Douglas Smith and NCTA Dean Ron Rosati met with Joe and his, father, Rick Calvo, seated at left during NCTA’s Standard of Excellence Livestock Camp at the NCTA campus.

Joe is the son of RIck and Susan Calvo.  With their parents, Joe and his sister, Rachael, operate Calvo Family Red Angus near Bassett. He attended Rock County High School where was active livestock judging and FFA.
