CURTIS, Neb. - Aggie rodeo athletes from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis are again saddling their horses for rodeo action in the Cornhusker state.

The NCTA Aggie Rodeo Team heads to North Platte for weekend action on Sept. 16-17 where the Great Plains Region teams meet in their second weekend rodeo of National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association action.

NCTA team roper-heeler Rio Whited of North Platte took the team roping title with partner Jordan Stanton of Black Hills State University last weekend in the season opener at Wisconsin.

The Aggie team warmed up on Labor Day as five students competed and helped out at the Nebraska State Fair.

“We all fell short of placing but it was a very good day at the State Fair!” said Tara Spatz, NCTA Aggie Rodeo club secretary-treasurer, who hails from Trotwood, Ohio. “We are looking at having a great fall season.”
