Ethanol Plant Lab Technicians
Lab Technicians are responsible for conducting various Quality Assurance (QA) related duties in accordance with the QA program while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the Company. These duties include but are not limited to, running quality control tests on product streams, establishing testing protocols, training Operators in proper field sampling techniques, and keeping the lab area clean and orderly.
This individual must be able to use or be trained to use all lab equipment including but not limited to, HPLC, Brix Refractometer, Moisture Analyzer, and the Karl Fisher Collimate Tetrameter. Additionally, this employee will run tests such as specific gravity test, yeast counts, viability, water analyses, plate counts, and others as needed or requested. This employee will regularly be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise environments, outside weather in all conditions and possible exposure to chemicals used in the process. Lab Technicians will report to, and complete all tasks assigned by, the Production Manager and Lab Director. Lab Technicians must be able to lift 50 pounds or more and may be required to enter confined spaces with small openings. All employees will work a 12 hour shift, 4 days on followed by 4 days off.
Associates Degree in Bio Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or Medical related field preferred. $18.00 - $22.00 an hour (based upon experience), plus full health benefits. All employees will work a 12 hour shift, 4 days on followed by 4 days off. Positions are looking to be filled no later than January 2008.
