Veterinary Technician, Stolley Park Veterinary Hospital

Our veterinary team is looking to add a fourth licensed veterinary technician.  We are currently seeking an experienced technician, but would consider a new graduate with the right qualities.  We strive to utilize technicians in their full capacity.  Therefore,  applicants need to have or be able to obtain a Nebraska Veterinary Technician license as well as exhibit proficiency and confidence in physical examinations, hospitalized patient care, anesthesia, laboratory skills, client communication, staff communication, charting, and critical care/emergency settings.  However, our highest priorities for a new team member are the abilities to continue learning and interact efficiently in a team environment.  Additional roles for this position also include occasionally assisting the veterinarian on emergency calls and some weekend treatments.

Stolley Park Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA accredited practice dedicated to high quality medicine and great customer service.  We are a 100% companion animal practice and also get the opportunity to assist numerous other local clinics with some advanced diagnostics and techniques.  As a staff we prioritize a team environment to better serve everyone.  The practice’s mission statement is “creating a culture of care: for our patients, for our clients, for each other, and for ourselves.”  We are constantly striving to improve ourselves medically and in customer service.   We currently possess the equipment and training to utilize in-house blood analysis (CBC, chemistry, and others), radiographs, ultrasound/ echocardiography, endoscopy, orthopedic surgery, and dental treatments (including digital dental radiographs) among other things. 

Stolley Park Veterinary Hospital is located in Grand Island, NE.  Grand Island is the third largest city and is located in Central Nebraska.  The size is ideal to offer both a rural and suburban settings.  We are located just over two hours from Omaha and are just minutes off of the interstate.  The community offers an abundance of new shopping centers, restaurants, a hike/bike trail, numerous city parks, and easy access to local state parks.
