Vision and Mission
The Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources serves Nebraska by providing internationally-recognized science and education to assure the state’s competitiveness in a changing world. The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture receives the latest science from the University, delivers this education to the next generation of farmers and ranchers and in turn projects these best practices across the globe.

To fulfill this vision with its firm focus on Nebraska, we must achieve world-class excellence in: the life sciences, ranging from molecular to global systems; sustainable food, fiber, and natural resource systems that support a bio-based economy; economics and environments for a sustainable future; and human capital development of children, youth and families. NCTA Mission Statement

The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) is a two year public college of the University of Nebraska system first serving the students and people of Nebraska, but also the nation and the world. Since its founding in 1988, NCTA has evolved into a quality institution of higher education, committed to excellence in program offerings, responsive to a dynamically changing agricultural industry and aspirations of a diverse student population.

The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, an institution of higher learning, is dedicated to the development of innovative individuals for the agriculture industry and related sciences.

NCTA Assessment

The Campus-wide Assessment Committee in cooperation with the NCTA Dean and Associate Dean will oversee the institutional assessment of all academic programs. NCTA’s assessment is on-line and a living document. Assessment begins with a commitment to excellence in student academics, life, and success measured in part through the assessment of the NCTA Values and IANR priorities identified above:
