We are accepting applications for our veterinary technician internship program in Small Animal Teaching Hospital at the University of Tennessee's College of Veterinary Medicine. Applications are due during the Spring Semester, 20120, by March 23. The program offers a one year rotating internship for graduate veterinary technicians. Visit www.vet.utk.edu, under academic departments, Small Animal Clinical Sciences/internships and residencies. Interns will rotate through core rotations in the small animal hospital, interacting with our veterinary technicians, the vet students, as well as our clinical faculty. Among the core rotations will be overnight duty; triaging phone calls, assisting with emergencies, and working in the intensive care unit. There will be extra time planned for electives as well. The vet tech interns are paid bi-weekly, may live on the premises, and have access to medical insurance benefits.
