Provides care for cattle barn, 600+ yearling and mature herd bulls, and related machinery. Responsibilities
include assisting with pasture management, daily maintenance of machinery and fences, treating sick
animals, feeding livestock and the collection of research data. Irregular hours and work in inclement weather
required. Travel between pastures and facilities required.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma plus one year beef livestock production experience required; equivalent education/experience considered. Precision, accuracy, and attention to detail necessary. Ability to maintain equipment, machinery, fields, and pastures essential.
Must have a valid driver’s license and meet UNL driver eligibility requirements.
Criminal history background check and physical required.
Associate Degree in Animal Science or related field preferred.
$16.00/hr. minimum
