OF CLASSROOM
Imagine a classroom, spanning 550 acres with our own cattle herd, where you learn by doing. That's what awaits Agricultural education and animal science majors at NCTA. You'll learn the fundamentals of livestock production, animal health, crop production, the equine industry, and natural resources management. Combine that knowledge with business management and marketing courses, and you'll be prepared for a variety of careers related to livestock and agricultural education.

 

BEYOND THE
CLASSROOM

Beyond what you'll learn in class, you'll have the opportunity to be a part of clubs, organizations and extracurricular activities directly related to your major.

Collegiate FFA -Develop your leadership skills through service to local high school chapters. Participate in local projects, professional growth, and travel opportunities.

Collegiate Cattlemen - Stay current on issues affecting the beef industry through guest speakers and tours of beef facilities. As a club member you may attend the Nebraska Cattlemen's convention.

Other activities you may be interested in include: Rodeo Team, Equestrian Teams, and Livestock Judging Team.
