Here at Adams, our Cattle Health team start and end their day caring for cattle. Do you share the same passion? We're looking for individuals with doctoring experience to join our Cattle Health team, operating our Mobile Hospital Units and working in the areas of doctoring, necropsy, and recoup.
This person will be responsible for:
Assisting cattle health team with all cattle doctoring, cattle movement, management of special pens, and necropsy.
Operating mobile hospital units, including applying treatment protocols based on diagnosis, collecting and inputting data into computer, and relocating animal based off diagnosis and protocol.
Monitoring and sorting cattle in special pens
Reviewing reports and assisting with loading railer cattle trucks.
Evaluating chronics and restart pens on a weekly basis when in necropsy.
Rotating with team members to verify special pen cattle weekly through the verification process out on the yard and in the office.
Sorting and transporting cattle from different areas on foot or via recoup truck and trailer.
Assisting with post-mortem examinations as needed.
Evaluating and euthanizing non-ambulatory cattle when required.
Coordinating with horseback personnel on hay bale needs and the processing crew on stalk bale needs.
Communicating constantly within team and with other teams to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Reporting vet pen and general pen maintenance to cattle health supervisor.
Safely operating equipment (e.g. tractors, pay loaders, mobile hospitals, trucks and trailers).
Performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and pre-start checks on equipment and facilities daily.
Maintaining, cleaning, washing, and disinfecting equipment and facilities daily and as needed.
Doing your part in helping the cattle health team complete daily and weekly tasks.
Troubleshooting computer issues and contacting leadership and/or IT as needed.
Attending shift startup meetings, daily as scheduled.
Staying current with all required trainings and SOP's.
Assisting in other areas of cattle production as needed.
Meeting punctuality and attendance expectations.

This position requires:
Individual must be able to work holidays, extended hours, and weekends.
Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Exerting 25-50 pounds of force rarely; 10-20 pounds frequently. Standing, sitting, walking, carrying, lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, crawling, stairs, reaching/handling/grasping occasionally; kneeling/crouching rarely.
Compensation Details:
Starting Wage: $15.00 to $19.00 per hour
$1,000 Hiring Bonus
