Mill Iron B Cattle Company located in Orleans, Nebraska is hiring a Farm Mechanic.
The ideal applicant would have the ability to diagnosis and repair issues with Ag equipment, heavy construction equipment, semi’s and irrigation motors. They would be self-motivated, have the ability to work independently and be a good communicator.
Job Duties Include:
- Routine maintenance on equipment and work trucks such as: fixing tires, air bags, changing oil, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Welding and fabricating
- Help with Feedlot maintenance
- Assist with planting and harvest as time allows
The Farm Mechanic must have an acceptable driving record as reflected by MVR. 3 years of mechanic experience is required.
Work Schedule: Hours vary based on the season
Regular Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Busy Hours: Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM-8:00 PM, with weekends
Compensation: $18-$26 per hour based on experience. Health insurance stipend, housing stipend, paid time off, work vehicle, fuel and ½ a beef.
