Position Title: Farm/Ranch Assistant - Full Time

Location: Lamar, Nebraska
Reliable individual sought for work on family irrigated farm and ranch near Imperial, Nebraska. Mostly later model equipment & gentle cows. Experience with cattle and heavy agricultural equipment preferred. We are predominantly a row crop operation with a rotation of corn, soybeans, wheat, BMR sorghum sudan forage, and grazing cover crops with a mid-sized commercial cow/calf operation.
Qualifications or Skills Required: Knowledge in operation of tractors and agricultural implements Perform basic preventative maintenance and repair of equipment
Experience in the working/handling of cattle including moving, sorting, loading, and feeding Ability to maintain & repair cattle water systems and fence - barbed wire & high tensile electric
Background in the calving process of cows & heifers with knowledge of when and how to intervene if assistance is necessary.
Working knowledge of center pivot irrigation systems.
With proper background and work ethic we can teach skills to the right individual.
Salary & Benefits: Dependent upon experience. Updated housing with most appliances available. Beef when available.
