Position Title:  Groundwater Management Area Specialist

Job Description/Duties

This is a professional position in water resources conservation for the Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District.  The ideal candidate for this position will possess knowledge and skills in the areas of natural resources conservation; adult education, farming practices, including livestock and row crop production and irrigation management; public speaking; and an understanding of Nebraska Statutes and NRD policies concerning water resources.  This position interfaces with the public and a variety of Federal, State, and Local agencies and/or officials.

Qualifications or Skills Required

Graduation from an accredited 2 or 4 year college with major coursework in natural resource management, water resources management, chemistry, agriculture, geography, geology, public administration, or related field; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Salary & Benefits

Range: $47,486 - $66,081
