Job Description
Full-time intern for the Spring 2018 calving season. March 1 - May 31. Cooksley's Clear Creek Farms is located North East of Broken Bow, NE. We are a diversified cow/calf operation, raising Shorthorns, Herefords, and Red Angus/Hereford Cross. We also raise corn and alfalfa.
The candidate selected will fill the role of assisting in calving out heifers, heavy cows, and assist in feeding calves. In addition, will be expected to help check pairs, identify and treat illness and prepare summer pastures. We work on horseback, as well as utilize side-by-sides, and 4 wheelers. Instruction will be provided for running any additional equipment.
Qualifications or Skills Required
Internship could lead to full time summer employment which would consist of riding pastures and help with field work, thistle control and putting up summer hay crop.
It is our goal to help students prepare for a variety of pursuits in the Ag Industry.
