Future teacher Kayla Mues comes from a long line of agriculturalists.
The fourth-generation graduate of Cambridge High School says her roots on a family farm and ranch led to wide-ranging interests and leadership roles in FFA and 4-H.
“Agriculture is always flowing in my blood,” says Mues, the oldest of six grandchildren. “Growing up, I was always the teacher for my brother and cousin.”

Dean’s Message from Interim Dean Kelly Bruns, Ph.D.
The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture is gaining traction this final week of May in preparation for a busy month of June ahead.
Field crops and livestock work on the NCTA Farm is progressing, and annual campus maintenance projects are underway in preparation for summer programs.
We have initiatives underway now for new students through virtual tours and enrollment days on June 9 and July 7, plus several events for the third week of June.

Aggie Alumni reunion moved to 2021 Tuesday, May 26, 2020

The Aggie Alumni Association reunion for the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture has been postponed until next year.
College alumni from NCTA and its predecessor institution the University of Nebraska School of Technical Agriculture (UNSTA) had planned to meet June 27 at the NCTA campus.
“While we would like to gather in 2020, that isn’t possible right now,” said Aggie Alumni board chair Ann Bruntz of Friend. “Our alumni board of directors who hail from all across Nebraska felt it is best to wait until 2021.”

CURTIS, Neb. – The NCTA Aggie graduating class of 2020 will never forget their final two months of college or their virtual commencement on May 7.
A Wednesday night awards program and Thursday afternoon graduation from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis punctuated a two-month stretch of remote learning for their associate degrees.

Thursday (May 7) is graduation day at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.
While we could not hold a public graduation ceremony in Curtis this year with our students, we are saluting them on Thursday with a virtual graduation that is posted on our website at NCTA.UNL.EDU.
The ceremony for the Class of 2020 features messages from our students, University of Nebraska Vice President Mike Boehm, and Aggie Alumni Association President Ann Bruntz of Friend.

CURTIS, Neb. – Nearly 120 degrees and certificates will be conferred May 7 through an online commencement at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
Students will be recognized for associate degrees and program certificates in a prerecorded ceremony scheduled for viewing at 2 p.m. C.T., said Kelly Bruns, PhD, interim dean of NCTA.
In addition to remarks by University of Nebraska President Ted Carter, Vice President Mike Boehm, and Regent Bob Phares, individual messages have been recorded by faculty to each graduate.

Gossen chosen as dean of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture Monday, April 27, 2020

Lincoln, Neb. – Dr. Larry Gossen, a trusted and effective leader and educator in the field of agricultural education, has been selected as the next dean of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, Neb.
Gossen will succeed Ron Rosati, who retired in August of 2019 after six years at the college. Kelly Bruns, director of the West Central Research and Extension Center in North Platte, has served as interim dean.

Clawson scholarships to Taylor, Callahan Thursday, April 23, 2020

CURTIS, Neb. _ Sylvia Clawson Scholarships were awarded last fall to Scott Taylor of Curtis and Chase Callahan of Farnam for their final year of studies at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
The pair each received $2,500 in the ninth annual award to students from the Frontier County, Nebraska region.

The campus of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture has beckoned to Josi Arnold three times in her life.
"My story at NCTA began in 2011, when I started as a Veterinary Technology student,” says the Colorado native.
“When I came to Curtis, I didn’t know anyone. It quickly grew to feel more like home than my hometown!”
Arnold graduated in 2014 in Veterinary Technology Systems with an associate of applied science degree with two options, veterinary assistant and animal husbandry.

CURTIS, Neb. - It's spring time in Nebraska!
A winter storm that brought harsh winds and snowfall on Thursday evening left an idyllic scene Friday morning outside of Agriculture Hall at the campus of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
Jeremy Sievers, associate professor of agribusiness management systems (AMS), captured a picturesque moment shortly after sidewalks were cleared by NCTA maintenance staff on Friday.
The AMS division is housed in the historic Ag Hall, the first building to be constructed at the camps in 1912.
