We are looking for a team player to assist with the processing and sorting of both incoming and existing cattle inventory in our state-of-the-art processing facility in Broken Bow, Nebraska.

This person will be responsible for:

Administering vaccines, implants, castrations via banding, tags, topicals, and metaphylactics according to protocols and procedures.

Moving cattle through processing facilities while keeping a consistent flow, by pushing cattle through tub and snake and operating hydraulic chute.

Collecting and inputting cattle sorting data into the internal computer system.

Inputting, fixing, and verifying data in daily reports.

Maintaining inventory of pharmaceuticals.

Reporting any sick or injured cattle to cattle health team.

Setting up facility each morning, including computer setup and calibration of syringe and scale chute.

Following animal welfare protocols and safety guidelines when in cattle handling areas and facilities.

Performing sanitation and preventative maintenance procedures in the facilities and on equipment, including greasing, cleaning, and washing. Report all maintenance needs to supervisor.

Operating and preventative maintenance of skidsteer.

Cleaning water tanks around processing facilities.

Assisting other areas of the feedlot, as needed.

This position requires:

Individual must be able to work holidays, extended hours, and weekends if needed.

Individual must be able to work in adverse conditions if needed.

Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 25-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds continuously. Standing frequently (majority of the day). Walking, twisting, and reaching/handling/grasping continuously; carrying, lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, and stairs frequently; sitting, bending, and climbing occasionally; crawling and kneeling/crouching rarely.

Basic computer skills and knowledge.

Previous cattle and BQA experience is beneficial, but not required.

Compensation Details:

$16.00-$20.00 per hour
