Job Description/Duties
Ranch Foreman wanted for a 175 head cow/calf operation in north central Kansas. Applicant must be able to work independently, but also with owner to manage the day to day activities. Daily cow/calf care, rotational grazing used, fence and pasture maintenance. We farm about 100 acres of ground for forage sorghum, alfalfa, and prairie hay(we swath and bale only, we hire the spraying and planting done.) We artificially inseminate the whole herd in June. We run corn/milo stalks December to March and start calving mid-March. We background our calves in our own feedlot.
Qualifications or Skills Required
Cattle knowledge needed but much can be taught
basic mechanical ability(basic engine work, welding,etc) is preferable
