2019 Summer Intern Job Description
AquaSpy’s mission is to take the risk out of growing by providing data and alerts to farmers regarding the health and water requirements of their crops, based on measurements of soil-plant interaction. AquaSpy enables users to measure the relative amount of water in the ground on a real time basis to enhance their irrigation decisions and optimize crop performance.
Requirements:
- Organized, motivated, and a self-starter
- This job requires manual labor work
- Comfortable working with computers
- Able to drive long distances and willing to travel. Overnight stays may be required
- Good driving record
- Able to troubleshoot problems on computer and in-field
- Comfortable talking with growers and/or dealers by phone or in person
- Able to physically do a probe installation with training
- Not bothered getting dirty, walking in corn/bean fields, or working outside
Responsibilities:
- Pre-season flagging and installation of probe systems when required
- In-Field troubleshooting and fixing of installed systems
- Data monitoring and analyzing on computer
- In-Field support for third party installation team
- Customer service for growers/dealers
