Temporary Agriculture Technician II
Position Summary: Assist the Biological Systems Engineering researcher, technician, and students with the establishment and care of research plots, operation of farm and plot equipment, fabrication and installation of data loggers and sensors, and the collection of daily, weekly, and seasonal data. Other duties as assigned. Irregular hours and work in inclement weather may be required seasonally. Position requires obtaining an EPA Non -Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License and Commercial Driver's License within 90 days of employment. Position may last up to two years. Physical, criminal history background check, and driving record review will be conducted.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree plus two years of commercial or family farm-based agricultural experience; equivalent experience/education considered. Working knowledge of farm machinery/equipment operation and application of crop production materials.
Pay: $16.50/hr. - full-time with health benefits
