Job Description/Duties:
Bellevue Animal Hospital is currently seeking an additional full-time Veterinary Technician to join our great team at our busy, six doctor, AAHA-accredited practice! Recent graduates encouraged to apply. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
Our new team member must have a Nebraska license and be prepared to perform a wide range of duties including but not limited to:
- Collecting urine samples
- Drawing blood
- Performing lab procedures
- Dental cleanings
- Taking digital dental and general radiographs
- Placing IV catheters
- Inducing and monitoring anesthesia
- Preparing patients for and assist in surgery
- Sample preparation
- Patient treatments
- Filling prescriptions
- Client education and instruction
Qualifications or Skills Required:
- Have a Nebraska license
- Commitment to delivering an outstanding client and pet experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette
- Energetic, personable and outgoing
- Self motivated
- Desire and ability to work in a team environment
- Good computer skills
- Ability to utilize electronic medical records system
- Desire for continual improvement of skills and knowledge
- Able to work several Saturdays a month
