We offer many opportunities for students who have an interest in equine medicine!
Our externship program is designed to provide veterinary technician students with a unique clinical experience under supervision of a licensed veterinary technician, introducing them to the many daily activities of a technician at our busy equine referral practice. Students will have the opportunity to rotate through all departments of the hospital, including surgery, radiology, internal medicine, reproduction, podiatry and ambulatory. We even have our own compounding pharmacy! All externships offer on site housing and 24/7 access to all elective and emergency procedures during their visit. As we are often hiring in many of our departments, including seasonally, we will first look to our current/former externs - making an externship here an excellent opportunity for future employment for students as well!

When applying I ask that students send me that application as well as an up to date resume. I do book up fast so applying ahead of time is preferred. We welcome externs from late February to September.
