The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture Crops Judging team won another national championship title and swept the first three individual titles last week in Twin Falls, Idaho. Winning students were Tyler Keener, Mitchell, 1st overall; Leah Schutz, Elwood, 2nd overall; and Jay Mintling, Hayes Center, 3rd overall. Other team members included Owen Harb, Chase Glover, Delany Salm, and Sean Lucas.

Alexes Kreikemeier of Omaha is thriving at NCTA on the Ranch Horse Team and the Women-in-Ag Club. She will use her Equine Industry Management degree in her future career in the livestock industry and working with horses.

Another Level of Technology at NCTA Tuesday, March 5, 2024

Fourth-semester welding student, Cody Flint has been working the last few weeks with instructor Dan Stehlik to program the robotic welder in the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture Welding Department. Once the calibrations were re-installed, various movements and welding instructions could be programmed into the Fanuc arm. Cody has set up patterns for the arm to follow a square, to follow a circle, and then to weld the patterns on a plate of steel.

The NCTA Crops Judging Team opened their season on a high note by placing first in the 2-year college division. The competition was held on Saturday, February 24, at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, KS.
