Custodial Position

Position will perform routine work in cleaning and general upkeep of NCTA campus buildings and outdoor spaces and will scrub, strip, refinish and polish floors using heavy industrial-type powered scrubbing and buffing machines.  Position will vacuum and clean carpets using industrial-type vacuum cleaners and carpet extractors, mix cleaning solution per instruction, collect and dispose of refuse requiring heavy physical efforts and remove snow and ice from steps of immediate buildings.  Position will move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more while moving furniture or setting up tables and chairs for special events.  This temporary position could possibly be up to a 2-year appointment.  Hours:  3:00 pm – 12:00 am, Sunday through Thursday and must be flexible to work during other employee leave absences (all shifts) on a rotating basis and weekends as may be assigned.  A criminal history background check and pre-placement physical will be conducted.  Please contact the NCTA HR office (308) 367-5238 for an application or questions.  UNL is committed to a pluralistic campus community through affirmative action, equal opportunity, work-life balance and dual careers.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS


Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE, is seeking candidates for an Academic year non-tenure leading Assistant Professor in Agribusiness Management Systems major available August 17, 2015. Develop and teach courses within the Agribusiness Management Systems (AMS) major, including the development and updating of course outlines, lesson plans, power point presentations, and course materials for both lecture and laboratory formats utilizing new technologies. This position requires a conferred Master's degree in Agribusiness or closely related field from an accredited institution, understanding and use of computer technology and excellent communication skills. Preferred qualifications include previous college teaching experience with background in education, practical agribusiness and/or entrepreneurship experience and practical experience in production agriculture with familiarity in Cornbelt/Great Plains agriculture, fundraising experience and previous experience sponsoring student activities and/or clubs and organizations.

Develop and teach courses within the Agribusiness Management Systems (AMS) major, including the development and updating of course outlines, lesson plans, power point presentations, and course materials for both lecture and laboratory formats utilizing new technologies. Will serve as the Division Chair of the AMS Major being responsible for division curriculum, budgets, day by day supervising faculty and support staff within division, new program and facilities development and responsible for semester scheduling of courses, instructors and classrooms. This position requires a conferred Master's degree in Agribusiness or closely related field from an accredited institution, understanding and use of computer technology and excellent communication skills. Preferred qualifications include previous college teaching experience with background in education, practical agribusiness and/or entrepreneurship experience and practical experience in production agriculture with familiarity in Cornbelt/Great Plains agriculture, fundraising experience and previous experience sponsoring student activities and/or clubs and organizations.
