ASSISTANT DEAN FOR FINANCE AND OPERATIONS

Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) in Curtis, NE, is seeking candidates for an academic administrative position as the Assistant Dean for Finance and Operations available January 3, 2015, or sooner. This position will report to the Dean and serve as an integral member of the senior management team. The Assistant Dean for Finance and Operations (ADFO) operates as the chief operations and fiscal officer of the college; will be responsible for the development of NCTA's financial management strategy and operational support and contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's strategic goals; will be charged with developing and implementing sophisticated policies and procedures both in the finance and general operational realms.

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field from an accredited institution; 5-10 years experience managing budget and expenditures for a large division/organization. Must have a proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.

FOOD SERVICE ASSOCIATE

(11:30am-8:00pm Mon-Thurs; 6:00am-2:30pm Fri)

Position will be a 9 or 10 month (academic year) position; from May thru August position will work only on an on-call basis. Position performs tasks in multiple areas/functions in cafeteria and deli food services such as setting up and closing down stations, cooking, re-stocking, recipe/ingredient preparation, inventory, dish machine operation, and cleaning. Responsibilities include cost and waste control, food presentation, monitoring food quality (temperature, taste, and appearance), training, and providing customer service. Position will operate the computer, perform cashiering duties and light maintenance and/or custodial work as needed. Position will perform other duties as assigned. Position requires Food Handler's permit or the ability to obtain a permit by passing the Safety and Sanitation test. Position requires pushing/pulling carts that may exceed 50 lbs. when fully loaded; and requires lifting and moving of heavy items, occasionally up and down stairs. A criminal history background check and pre-placement physical will be conducted. Excellent benefits including staff/dependent scholarship program.
