This week we celebrate the results of two or more years of hard work by our Aggie students!

I look forward to welcoming guests to Curtis as the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture celebrates with graduating students, their families and friends, and our campus community.

 Our Aggie students are in the last week of the academic year at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

Enthusiasm is high for year-end programs and graduation events on May 1 and 2.

As we prepare for final exams starting Thursday, our veterinary technology students out on internships are saying goodbye to their employers and animal care settings.

CURTIS, Neb. _With college commencement on May 2 only three weeks away, students at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture are climbing to the peak of their academic careers at Curtis.

Individual and collective endeavors depend on the earnest applications of all they have learned and experienced during their years of classroom and laboratory programs.

Aggies of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture are learning by doing in Curtis and also in locations across the country, including Lincoln, Omaha, Texas, Wyoming, and, Kentucky.

Our campus in Curtis is filled with students who are concentrating their studies in our specialties of agriculture and veterinary technology.

NCTA community pitches in for disaster relief Tuesday, April 2, 2019

CURTIS, Neb. – Disaster relief for Nebraska farmers and ranchers continues to roll onto the campus of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.

 Baled hay, livestock feed and fencing supplies are being collected at the NCTA for distribution to livestock operations affected by the March 13-15 blizzard and catastrophic flooding.

Ranch Horse Team starts season at CSU Thursday, March 7, 2019

FORT COLLINS, Colo. –Five riders with the NCTA Ranch Horse Team at Curtis were recently back in the show ring at a weekend Working Cow Stock Horse contest in Colorado.

“We had a great start to our winter and spring series at Colorado State University,” said Joanna Hergenreder, assistant professor of animal science and coach of the NCTA Ranch Horse Team.

Five Aggie team members competed March 2 and 3 in the collegiate contest attended by five colleges

There’s no doubt about it, agriculturalists are hardy stock.

While Nebraska ranchers and livestock producers are battling frigid temperatures and winter conditions across the state, our Aggie students are facing this same dose of an extra harsh winter at campus.

Animal science and several veterinary technology majors at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis take a shift in calving rotation, checking expectant cows soon due to deliver.
