Job Description/Duties:
Agritech Research is seeking a full time Research Associate to join our team to be located in the Southwest Nebraska area. This position demands independent thinking, time management, and the self motivation to work independently and with a field crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting multiple research plots in their region under the supervision of the Agronomist as well as maintaining our research equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for traveling with planting crews to install plots, assist in managing for weed control, collect field notes, monitor plots throughout the growing season, and participate with the combine operation. There are many 70 hour work weeks from planting to harvesting. Travel is extensive and requires on average 110 nights in a hotel. Company vehicles will be used for all travel required for the job.
Qualifications or Skills Required:
· An Associate's degree in an Agricultural related field.
· Ability to work 70 hour weeks from planting to harvest.
· Ability to travel extensively throughout your Territory.
· Proficiency in computer skills, Word, and Excel.
· Ability to obtain a commercial pesticide applicator license for multiple states within region.
· Ability to obtain a Class A CDL license with air brakes. New employees are offered a 3 to 4 week CDL training class.
· Perform other related duties as needed or assigned.
Salary & Benefits:
· Salary ~$40,000 - $45,000
