Aggies who participate in student clubs and campus organizations have a voice in leadership at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
The NCTA Student Senate is comprised of the representatives of the 20 clubs and teams at the agricultural campus, said KayLee Rasmussen of Burwell, Student Senate president.
“Each of the clubs or teams sends a first-year and second-year student to serve on the senate,” said Rasmussen, an animal science major who is secretary of the Aggies Shotgun Sports Team.

Cattle feeding and livestock chores are among the internship and work duties for college student CJ Monheiser.
The Hershey, Nebraska, native is the Aggie of the Month at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis where he majors in livestock industry management.
Now a sophomore, Monheiser will graduate in May with an associate of applied science degree. A college internship this summer led him to Adams Land & Cattle in Broken Bow.

The “Aggies from Curtis” are helping the Nebraska State Fair celebrate its 150th anniversary.
The annual 10-day event in Grand Island kicks off Friday (August 23) with opening ceremonies observing 150 years of showcasing Nebraska agriculture.
Students and volunteers from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture will be at the fair for numerous activities and contests which conclude on Labor Day.

CURTIS, Neb. – Disaster relief for Nebraska farmers and ranchers continues to roll onto the campus of the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.
Baled hay, livestock feed and fencing supplies are being collected at the NCTA for distribution to livestock operations affected by the March 13-15 blizzard and catastrophic flooding.

CURTIS, Neb. – Agricultural issues and advocacy for Nebraska livestock production will be center stage on Thursday, March 14 at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
Trent Loos is a radio commentator, agricultural producer who farms with his family near Hazard, Nebraska, and a spokesman for a variety of issues and platforms in national and global food production.
He will give a public presentation for Aggie students, farmers, ranchers and others wanting to learn more about advocacy on behalf of the agriculture industry.

There’s no doubt about it, agriculturalists are hardy stock.
While Nebraska ranchers and livestock producers are battling frigid temperatures and winter conditions across the state, our Aggie students are facing this same dose of an extra harsh winter at campus.
Animal science and several veterinary technology majors at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis take a shift in calving rotation, checking expectant cows soon due to deliver.

CURTIS, Neb. – A beef industry webinar and discussion will be hosted for viewing Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
Efficiency and sustainability are important topics not only to cattle producers but to beef consumers.
Nebraska Extension will partner with NCTA to host the statewide discussion, “Ranching for Profitability” for beef cattle producers and NCTA Aggie students.
