This week is a time to reflect on our blessings and show our gratitude to those around us.

 

Heartwarming is the word I use when I talk to people from across the state that, when they learn I’m from NCTA, tell me of someone they know, or they attended UNSA, UNSTA, or NCTA. There is always a fond memory they want to share or a story of some kind.

The August graduating class of NCTA was a small but mighty group of Aggies who made the most of their final session in the summer of 2023. These eight students completed degrees and certificates and are well-prepared to impact the agriculture and animal health industries.

Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture joins UNL at National FFA

The NCTA and UNL-CASNR recruiting teams joined forces to connect with thousands of FFA members at the 96th Annual Convention in Indianapolis, IN. Several NCTA Aggies were also honored to receive their American Degrees.

East Campus Tailgate for NCTA and CASNR alums!

Aggie and Husker alums are invited for some festive food, football, and fun at the East Campus Union on Saturday, September 30th starting 4 hours prior to kick-off. The Huskers host the Michigan Wolverines for a classic Big 10 matchup. Although we may not know the start time until the Monday prior to the game, we assure you the Aggies and Husker alumni will be there!

Free parking will be available on East Campus, with shuttles available before and after the game.

CURTIS, Neb. – In a testament to the enduring legacy of Chandra Castle, two promising agriculture students were honored in May as the recipients of the prestigious Chandra Castle Memorial Scholarship for the upcoming academic year at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA).

CURTIS, Neb. – The fee waiver code “NCTA” saves applicants the $45 application fee until November 1, 2023, at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis. This expanded waiver period for Nebraska and Out-of-State students supports the NCTA mission of affordability and access.

 

Beginning now, high school seniors and transfer students applying for the 2024-25 academic year are eligible for the waiver.

Heifer Link Supports Student Monday, August 7, 2023

The NCTA Heifer Link initiative was launched at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in January 2015 as an integral part of the Ownership Advantage Program. With Heifer Link's introduction, students are given a unique chance to receive a bred heifer during their fourth semester.

This year, Hadley Sayer of Wallace took advantage of this opportunity to support his goal of expanding his operation raising purebred show cattle in Nebraska.
