Care of livestock to include feeding, artificial insemination, heat checking, observation, and treatment of swine population. Building and equipment maintenance in the swine facilities and the
sanitation of swine facilities. Calibrate feeders in swine areas and collect research data. Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma plus one year of large livestock/animal handling experience required. Precision, accuracy, and attention to detail necessary. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet
UNL driver eligibility requirements. Criminal history background check and physical required.
Prefer Associate’s in Animal Science or related field; experience handling swine; and experience with welding and equipment fabrication. Data entry experience helpful.
$16.00/hr. minimum
