Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE is seeking candidates for a full-time Residence Life Manager. The incumbent in this position will create a living environment conducive to student learning; enhance the college experience for students through residence hall activities; oversee housing operations in four residence halls; provide leadership for a cooperative living environment; take corrective action as may be required; work closely with student services staff; and, respond to student life emergency situations. The incumbent will recruit, staff, train and evaluate residence assistants (RAs); manage and monitor the residence hall budgets; manage housing contracts; procure equipment and supplies; perform administrative tasks related to the annual evaluation of housing revenue and fees; develop and generate reports; and, coordinate and sponsor residence life events and campus-wide activities and intramurals for all students, which may include fund raising activities.

This is an on-campus, residence hall apartment provided, live-in position that reports directly to the Assistant Dean. A meal plan will be provided. A bachelor’s degree in residence life, student personnel or related field, plus relevant experience that might include mentoring, guiding, or planning events for young adults or work involving community development and programming activities are required. Leadership experience is essential. Basic computer experience is necessary. Background must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills including the ability to relate well to others, to maintain positive working relationships, to maintain appropriate confidentiality, and to be sensitive to and respond to needs and concerns of others. Must also possess strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate operational and support activities. Must have sound decision-making skills including the appropriate use    of    judgment and discretion.
