Help for student accounts
  1. You should have received two emails during the application process which included your eight-digit number known as your NUID and a second containing a temporary password, login instructions for TrueYou, and instructions for claiming your My.UNL account. Once you've been admitted to NCTA, you are eligible for a My.UNL account (this is the account you will use to login to Canvas). Visit the TrueYou website https://trueyou.nebraska.edu/
  2. After logging in to TrueYou, set the password for your My.UNL account and remember this username and password as it will be used for NCTA-specific services.  Click the link below for step-by-step instructions on claiming your My.UNL account.

MyNCTA.Nebraska.EDU -this system is for full-time and online students only (Dual Credit/ Concurrent Enrollment will NOT use this system)

Your MyNCTA account allows you to:

-        Enroll in courses (not valid for dual credit or concurrent enrollment students)

-        Check your grades

-        View, accept or decline financial aid

-        Pay your bill

-        View your To Do’s, Messages and other communications

 

Canvas

Canvas is a new learning management system that we are excited to launch at NCTA. It is similar to Blackboard, yet there are some differences. Below are a list of tips and links to help you get the semester off to a smooth start.

Student Links:

  1. Be sure to bookmark the login URL for Canvas: my.unl.edu
  2. Students may self-enroll in our student training course (Canvas login using your My.UNL credentials required)
  3. Use the help button to get Canvas Help - the live chat system works great!
  4. Be sure to install the Mobile App: Apple or Android
  5. Be sure to set up your profile 
  6. Be sure to set your notification settings 
  7. Remember to click the courses icon to set what courses show on the dashboard
