We are looking for undergraduate students with an interest in cover crops, soil health, and organic farming practices. This position is based at the Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center near Mead (45 minutes north of Lincoln). Students will help in planting, maintaining, and assessing cover crops and cash crops, mowing lawn, harvesting, sample processing, and data entry using Excel. Travel to the research station at Mead is required. Students can apply to start now part-time or start full-time during the summer. Must be able to work outside and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Driver’s license required. Position will pay $15 per hour. A criminal history background check and driving record review will be conducted. A pre-employment physical will be required.
