Full-Time Feedlot Hand & Feed Truck Driver

These are full time positions for M & M Feeders located south of Lexington, Nebraska. Feedlot hand is responsible for the health and welfare of the cattle associated with the feedlot, as well as the maintenance of vehicles, machinery, equipment, and facilities. Feed Truck Driver is responsible for the daily feeding of the cattle.

Feedlot Hand is responsible for:

  • Branding, vaccinating, treating and otherwise processes incoming cattle.
  • Checking feedlot pens by 4-wheeler; identifying and removing sick cattle from pens.
  • Administering medicines, vaccines, and drugs to cattle in accordance with Beef Quality Assurance program guidelines.
  • Monitoring quality and quantity of feedlot water supply.
  • Building, repairing, and maintaining feedlot facilities.
  • Operating and maintaining vehicles and agricultural and construction machinery and equipment in accordance with verbal instructions and those provided in operator's manuals.
  • Assisting with cattle feeding as required.

Feedlot Hand is responsible for:

  • Feeding the cattle at the feedlot
  • Assisting the feedlot hands as required.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Previous experience with beef cattle; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of equipment to be operated.
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.

These are full time positions with competitive wages based on prior experience.
