Job Description
- Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant needed for a busy, mixed animal, two veterinarian practice located in Oberlin, Kansas. Clinic office hours are Monday – Friday 8 to 5, Saturdays 8 to Noon (Technician would be asked to alternate Saturdays).
Duties include:
Large Animal - assisting with processing cattle for herd work and surgeries, giving vaccinations, going on farm calls with veterinarian and basic large animal care.
Small animal - assisting with exams and surgeries, patient care and monitoring, running and maintaining in-house diagnostic and radiology equipment, nails trims, along with basic grooming and small animal care.

Qualifications or Skills Required
Preference is applicant with current Veterinary Technician license or new graduate in the process of obtaining both a Kansas and Nebraska license is requested but would consider adapting the job to someone with experience only and unlicensed. Would prefer someone with experience working around cattle but would be willing to train the right applicant. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, honest, reliable, respectful, positive minded team player who possesses good communication (both written and verbal) skills and is a people person who is willing to learn and work with all staff and clients in a busy, mixed animal practice.
