Logos

These are the official marks of the University of Nebraska NCTA campus. At NCTA, we maintain a consistent use of the NU System Logo in conjunction with the NCTA Lockup, found below.

Lockups and Size Relationships

These are the clear space rules and proportions. The wordmark/icon proportion must not exceed proportions below, but the wordmark CAN be smaller that the proportions shown here but must not be reduced below minimum size.

Note
If you have a multiple-page publication (or front and back) place NCTA lockup on the front and the wordmark on the back.
* Must use these two marks on communication, unless there are space limitations.

** Always base clear space and minimum size from inside the serifs.

Incorrect Versions - Wordmark*

Don't stretch the wordmark.
incorrect NCTA wordmark with bigger location designation
Don't change the size of the "NCTA" designation.
incorrect NCTA wordmark recreated with wrong fonts
Don't recreate the wordmark.

Don't place the wordmark on a busy background.

Incorrect Versions - NCTA Lockup*

Use the black NCTA lockup as much as possible on applications.

Example of not changing logo color
Don't change the "N" color.
Example of deleting logo outline
Don't delete the outline.
Example of not stretching icon
Don't stretch the icon.
Example of not recreating logo
Don't recreate the icon.
Example of not spelling out Nebraska with logo
Don't write out a word with icon.
Example of not placing logo on busy background
Don't place icon on busy backgrounds.
Example of deleting logo outline
Don’t remove the white outline or print on a color background without it*
Example of filling logo if no other options
When you can't print in 2-c on a dark background, fill the white outline with the icon color.**

* The outline should always be white, except in light metal and other select merchandise items where it could be transparent.
** The registration mark has a white fill for most applications within a color background, but that can be removed on 1-c jobs.
