CURTIS, Neb. – NCTA Aggie students are ending their semester with two last assignments.

Take a study break for snacks. Check.

Finish semester final exams. Check

As is tradition in recent years, the University of Nebraska Foundation provided a free snack bar and refreshments during finals week for students at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

Final exams began Monday and will end Thursday afternoon.

By mid-morning Friday, after students are checked out of their residence halls for the holiday break, the campus will see much less activity.

In fact, the place was bustling on Wednesday with 275 FFA students from 16 chapters in southwest Nebraska gathered at District 11 FFA contests for high school students.

The NCTA Food Service department had another busy week providing food for campus diners, the public, and the large FFA contingent.

Food Service staff provided preparation and set up with a combination of “salt and sweet” snacks along with healthy choices, plus warm and cold drinks, for Finals Week.

Self-service tables of refreshments were set up at the Aggie Student Union Monday and Tuesday, and again on Thursday. On Wednesday, snack tables were available at Agriculture Hall.

In appreciation for the study time refreshments, NCTA students signed a thank you to the University Foundation, which is based in Lincoln.

Happy holidays, all!
