What are your plans after college?

My plans and career goals after college involve working in the cattle industry in some way, either in production, genetics or nutrition.

What organizations, clubs, and teams are you involved with at NCTA?

I am involved in the Livestock Judging Team, Collegiate FFA/4-H, and Women in Ag.

How are you involved with the NCTA Livestock Judging Team and what is your favorite part of being on this team?

This will be my second year on the NCTA Livestock Judging team. This year I am the president of the team. My favorite part of being on this team is all of the memories made on long drives and trips, and learning about high quality livestock. All of these skills will help me with my own livestock in the future.

You recently received your American FFA Degree, what has been your involvement in FFA?

I was very involved in FFA throughout high school. My junior year I was the reporter for the Scottsbluff FFA chapter, and my senior year I held the vice president position. My main SAE was showing and raising swine. I was also involved in many contests at the state level such as livestock judging, veterinary science, and animal management.

What did you want to be when you were 10 years old?

When I was 10 years old, I wanted to be a veterinarian.

What is your proudest moment? Either in life or at NCTA.

My proudest moment took place when I was livestock judging at State FFA my senior year of high school. I came out of the contest not thinking I did very well, but later that day, I learned I had placed fourth overall out of around 192 contestants.

Do you have a favorite quote or piece of life advice that you live by?

“You’re not too small to do great things”.
