CURTIS, Neb. – Agricultural businesses and employers will share workforce openings during a campus event at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture next Thursday (Nov. 7).

NCTA students are encouraged to visit with more than 20 representatives at the 2019 NCTA Career Fair.

The annual event allows employers to visit NCTA this fall, before the spring job search season gets busy, said Kevin Martin, advisor with NCTA Student Services.

Several Aggie students will complete their degree or certificate program in December and may be arranging employment now.  However, the majority of NCTA students will be May graduates from agriculture production, agribusiness management or veterinary technology.

“Students can explore internship opportunities as well as fulltime employment,” Martin added.  Employment opportunities are available at swine farms, agricultural cooperatives, cattle feedlots, agribusiness specialists and animal health.

Community residents are invited to stop by the career fair at the Nebraska Agriculture Industry Education Center between 9 a.m. and noon.

Employer pre-registration and further information is available by contacting Kevin Martin at kmartin4@unl.edu or 308-367-5217.
