CURTIS, Neb. – The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture will host a Student Speech Night on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Nebraska Agriculture Industry Education Center.

Nine students will deliver short, 5- or 6-minute presentations which are intended to persuade, interest, entertain or inform listeners, said Eric Reed, chair of the General Education Division.

Topics are selected by the students and vary from themes such as outdoor survival basics, bucking bulls, and a bird-drone conspiracy theory.

The Speech Night is the final project for students in Reed's Public Speaking course.

Aurora Urwiler, Laurel

Anna Whyman, Lincoln,

Helen Albaugh, Fallon, Nevada

Amy Fishel, Alma

Logan Van Anne, Gering

Anna Esch, Spalding

Lennae Eisenmenger, Humphrey

Jocelyn Kennicutt, Gothenburg

The Curtis community is invited and encouraged to attend, Reed said.  The program will conclude by 8 p.m.
