Nathan Nicklas, the newly appointed Residence Life Manager at NCTA, brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the Curtis community. Born in Lincoln, NE, Nathan's parents served as missionaries in Belgium during his early childhood, giving him the opportunity to live in Europe. However, most of his formative years were spent in Curtis, where his father has been a pastor for the past 14 years.

After graduating from Medicine Valley High School in 2018, Nathan pursued his calling in ministry by attending Bible college in Kansas City, MO. He spent a semester at Calvary University and then continued his studies at Spurgeon College/Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies and a Master of Divinity.

Nathan's role as the Residence Life Manager at NCTA involves overseeing various aspects of student life. He is responsible for the dormitories, including the supervision and coordination of Resident Assistants, as well as organizing student events on campus. Ensuring the enforcement of policies and fostering a campus culture conducive to student growth, learning, and a positive college experience is also part of his duties.

What drew Nathan to NCTA was his familiarity with the institution, having worked here during four of the past five summers, with three of those summers spent under the supervision of a previous Residence Life Manager. His love for working with students and witnessing their personal growth made the role of Residence Life Manager at NCTA an exciting opportunity to pursue. Additionally, Nathan's affection for the Curtis community made returning to his hometown a welcomed outcome of his career path.

One aspect of NCTA that Nathan particularly appreciates is its specialization in agriculture, a field central to Nebraska's economy. The college provides students who are passionate about agriculture, veterinary technology, and related fields with a unique hands-on experience. Studying alongside peers and professors with similar interests and goals is invaluable for their future careers.

Nathan enjoys spending quality time with family and friends during his free time. His diverse interests include studying theology and history, keeping up with sports and politics, actively participating in church, watching movies and TV shows, listening to music, and playing board games.

Join us in congratulating Nathan on his new career.
