CURTIS, Neb. – The NCTA Aggie graduating class of 2020 will never forget their final two months of college or their virtual commencement on May 7.

A Wednesday night awards program and Thursday afternoon graduation from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis punctuated a two-month stretch of remote learning for their associate degrees.

Aggies who participate in student clubs and campus organizations have a voice in leadership at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

The NCTA Student Senate is comprised of the representatives of the 20 clubs and teams at the agricultural campus, said KayLee Rasmussen of Burwell, Student Senate president.

“Each of the clubs or teams sends a first-year and second-year student to serve on the senate,” said Rasmussen, an animal science major who is secretary of the Aggies Shotgun Sports Team.

CURTIS, Neb. – Graduates of the NCTA Class of 2019 were urged to find their passion and be a “problem solver” in their career to achieve success.

Nearly 75 graduates, some as double academic majors at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, received diplomas before a packed gymnasium on May 2 at the Curtis Memorial Community Center.

PTK honor society inducts 20 NCTA Aggies Saturday, May 4, 2019

CURTIS, Neb. – Twenty students were inducted Wednesday as new members into the Alpha Iota Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society at  Curtis.

Initiates gathered with current PTK members for the annual candle-lighting installation ceremony at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.

The academic honorary recognizes academic achievements of students attending a two-year college. It provides opportunities for growth and development through honors, leadership and service.

Enthusiasm is high for year-end programs and graduation events on May 1 and 2.

As we prepare for final exams starting Thursday, our veterinary technology students out on internships are saying goodbye to their employers and animal care settings.

Family Feud Night is Thursday

A college version of a popular television game show, Family Feud, takes center stage Thursday.
