ROLE PURPOSE
To effectively and efficiently deliver chemicals and fertilizer to customers. Assist with duties involving bulk plant and warehouse operations. Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor and implement the company’s direction while promoting professionalism and teamwork. Other duties primarily associated with warehousing, equipment maintenance, hauling grain, tending application equipment, general farm work, etc.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Delivery of Products
- Deliver products to and from other location and customers.
- Meet DOT requirements, properly fill out time sheets and log books.
- Notify supervisor of any repairs needed to delivery equipment.
Facility Operations
- Operate fork lifts, scales, pumps and all other equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Warehouse/Bulk Plant
- Load/unload deliveries, help organize loads and inventories
- Fill bulk containers and package chemicals. Handle NH3, dry and liquid fertilizer.
- Operate bulk seed treatment equipment.
Shared Accountabilities
- Maintain all aspects of equipment and facilities so that they are in excellent working condition for their respective seasons. Such equipment may include but is not limited to: nurse trailers, anhydrous trailers, dry fertilizer equipment, bulk chemical and fertilizer facilities, tending and application equipment, warehouse, office, grounds, vehicles and all other equipment.
CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of equipment and tractor trailer operations.
- Knowledge of chemical handling and loading.
- Knowledge of fuel handling and loading.
- Knowledge of Worker Protection Standards.
- General maintenance knowledge.
